What Are You Waiting For?

I walked into my job interview with a juiced up resume in hand. I was determined to get my first adult job. Whatever it took.

I wasn’t necessarily lying but I put stuff on there I didn’t remember much about. So when I began my job, I felt like a fraud.

Have you ever felt incredibly unqualified to do something? Do you feel spiritually unqualified for what God has called you to?

Then I’m right there with you. But just because we feel inadequate doesn’t mean we are excused from the call.

God calls the unqualified so He can equip them!

Paul wrote to Timothy “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” -1 Timothy 4:12

Timothy must have felt unqualified due to his age, so Paul encouraged him not to let his youth be a stumbling block by living as an example.

Regardless of your age, you are an example to someone and God can use you and wants to use you!

Think about it, God could have us serve him as robots, but he wants willing, surrendered servants.

Are you waiting for a dramatic sign to…

  • Grow in a specific gifting, maybe music
  • Serve in a specific way
  • Lead a bible study with your friends
  • Go to Bible college
  • Begin mission work

God is waiting for you to say “Here I am! Send me.” (Isaiah 6:8)

Isaiah excitedly answered God’s call and submitted to the Lord in all his service. Like Isaiah, we are all called to be sent.

Each day this week begin your prayer time with the words “Here I am, Lord. Send me.” And ask Him about where or what He might be leading you to.
